Set in a meander of the Vézère River, Hôtel Joyet de Maubec is located in Uzerche. It features a restaurant and free WiFi access is all areas. Everything about this hotel experience was fabulous. The location - on a hilltop with fantastic views of a medieval village on one side and a river on the other. Of course a car is essential to get there comfortably. The hosts/staff - very warm, attentive and cheerful The food at the restaurant at dinner and breakfast was top quality and elegantly served. Rooms were large and comfortable, and I liked the Nuxe toiletries (would have appreciated something more than just body lotion though). Electric car charging points.

Built in 1890 and surrounded by a big park, this hotel features a bar and free Wi-Fi internet access. The highlight of our stay was the conversations with the owners of the hotel. Absolutely charming people! Very helpful with dinner recommendation (Le Lissier) which by the way was really good. Eric kept us entertained and Lisette kept us informed, as we talked about France, property and much more. Very interesting and useful. If we're in Aubusson again we will definitely stay there again! PS Great room, great breakfast too.
